Carty House makes debut at Irish Women’s Network Garden Party

A wonderful afternoon was had May 6th at the Irish Women’s Network Garden Party at the home of the Irish Ambassador!

Operations and Refugee Services Manager Louise Ebeltoft gave a moving speech about what makes Carty House so unique, while former resident and current board member Dative Dukuze nearly brought the room to tears with her personal story.

Everybody looked fabulous in their summer dresses and fancy hats as we dined on finger sandwiches, macarons and bubbly.

Thanks to former resident Justine Nkurunziza and board member Tobi Cohen for being on hand to represent Carty House. It was an afternoon we won’t soon forget!

Huge thanks also goes out to the Irish Women’s Network of Ontario for choosing Carty House as the beneficiary of this year’s fundraiser and to His Excellency Jim Kelly and wife Anne Martin who were such gracious hosts.
